Wellbeing of Women (WoW) invest in pioneering research in women’s health. Research helps find cures and develop new tests and treatments that will save and change the lives of women, girls and babies.
The following fellowships and scholarships are open for application:
- Sir Victor & Lady Blank Postdoctoral Research Fellowships: Support early career researchers to gather data and strengthen their bids for longer-term substantive funding. Awards are intended to support research-active lecturers, or lecturer equivalent level, to gather data and strengthen their bids for longer-term substantive funding. These awards are open to both clinician and academic researchers who have been awarded an MD or PhD within the last 7 years and are employed by the NHS, HEI or on a postdoctoral research fellowship with at least 40 percent of their time funded to undertake research.
- WoW-RCP Postdoctoral Research Fellowships: Support early career physician researchers to gather data and strengthen their bids for longer-term substantive funding. The award will fund one postdoctoral physician in a basic science, clinical or translational research project aimed to improve outcomes for pregnant women with medical disorders, or who develop gestational syndromes.
- WoW-RCP Entry-level Research Scholarships: Enable physicians to develop interests in research to improve outcomes for pregnant women with medical disorders, or who develop gestational syndromes. The award will fund one pre-doctoral physician in a basic science, clinical or translational research project aimed to improve outcomes for pregnant women with medical disorders, or who develop gestational syndromes.
