The Vascular Anaesthesia Society of Great Britain & Ireland – Research Grant

The NIAA are co-ordinating a grant jointly funded by the Vascular Anaesthesia Society of Great Britain and Ireland and the Association for Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia and Critical Care (ACTACC) up to the value of £70,000 available. The VASGBI & ACTACC research strategy focuses on supporting the following key areas:

• Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia, Cardiac Intensive Care and Resuscitation
• Vascular Anaesthesia
• Patient safety
• Innovation
• Clinical outcomes
• Education and training
• Related professional issues (e.g. standards and guidelines, working conditions, medico legal issues, etc)
• The environment

Applications for VASGBI & ACTACC funding must clearly demonstrate how the proposed project meets one or more of the above aims, as well as providing value for money. Suitable projects may be large research studies, small clinical/benchtop projects, idea (innovation) development, observational studies/data collection.
