Monday, 25 Apr 2022
| Funding Deadline
The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation funds essential lung cancer research, looking for ways to detect the disease as early as possible and save lives. They fund research grants into the following areas:
- Early detection of lung cancer: Applications are invited for research projects into high risk population stratification and molecular screening.
- Patient experience: We invite applications from professional groups, such as nurses and Allied Health Professionals who are very involved in the patient experience of lung cancer.
They offer different types of lung cancer research grants:
- Pilot grants: For established scientists to investigate and develop new ideas in the field of lung cancer research in the areas of Early Detection and Patient Experience. It is expected in general that a pilot grant will be used to fund a discrete piece of research that will not be supplemented from other sources.
- Project grants: Support innovative research in to lung cancer in the areas of Early Detection and Patient Experience. The research proposal must be of relevance to RCLCF lung cancer research topics and will be expected to lead to a significant advance of understanding of lung cancer and its impact.
Deadline for proposals: 25 April 2022
