Who should attend? First time or inexperienced applicatnts for NIHR funding, either as lead or co-applicant, and researchers requiring a refresh on the application process. 

What is covered? Insights into what funders are looking for and how you can address this in key sections of the application form. This includes persuading funders:

  • your question is important
  • you have the right clinical and methodological expertise in your team to answer the question
  • you have the right level of patient and public involvement
  • your Plain English Summary is …… well, plain English!


What format does it take? A mixture of presentations, examples and activities to help you apply the insights to your own application. Refreshments and lunch is supplied.
