The Health and Social Care Delivery Research (HSDR) Programme aims to produce rigorous and relevant evidence to improve the quality, accessibility and organisation of health and social care services.
The HSDR Programme is accepting stage one applications to this funding opportunity. This call is for further research to understand the links between overprescribing and deprivation, ethnicity, age and inequalities and the impact these have on the health of the population, as recommended in the report from the Department of Health and Social Care’s (DHSC) National Overprescribing Review (NOR) led by the Chief Pharmaceutical Officer, detailing the extent of overprescribing in the NHS.
