NIHR Public Health Research Programme-Stage 1 applications on interventions

Below are details of 2 exciting new calls and how the PHRADA service can help:

Call 1 - Are you working with a team who would like to evaluate the effectiveness or cost effectiveness of interventions to support the health of unpaid carers?  The NIHR Public Health Research (PHR) Programme is accepting Stage 1 applications on interventions to support the health of unpaid carers. The PHR programme wishes to commission research on the health impact of interventions that affects adult unpaid carers, these effects could be positive or negative. They are predominantly interested in interventions that are likely to have impact on populations at scale, addressing health inequalities and the underlying wider determinants of health.

Call 2 - Are you working with a team who would like to evaluate the effectiveness or cost effectiveness of an intervention to prevent eviction and homelessness? The NIHR PHR programme is accepting Stage 1 applications on interventions to prevent eviction and homelessness. The PHRADA service supports clients to develop research proposals for submission to the NIHR Public Health Research Programme, focussed on specific commissioned calls. We are a free to access service for clients and we tailor support to you. 

PHRADA is funded by NIHR to help applicants develop high quality applications. Some examples of how we can help are:  

  • Develop your research question into a proposal
  • Critically evaluate your method.
  • Review your proposal prior to submission
  • Access funding for PPIE
  • Navigate the requirements of the application process
  • Talk to the funding programme if there are specific issues
  • Find co-applicants
