NIHR Public Health Research programme – New calls

The Public Health Research (PHR) Programme funds research to generate evidence to inform the delivery of non-NHS interventions, intended to improve the health of the public, and reduce inequalities in health.

The PHR Programme is accepting Stage 1 applications to their commissioned workstream for the following topics:

• 23/81 Application Development Award (ADA): School food in special schools and alternative provision settings
• 23/82 Suicide prevention in high risk groups
• 23/83 Workforce health
• 23/84 Health and health inequality impacts of voucher and benefit uptake
• 23/85 Commercial determinants of health
• 23/86 Reducing health inequalities related to ethnicity by influencing the wider determinants of health
• 23/88 Uptake of population screening programmes in under-served groups
