The Public Health Research (PHR) Programme funds research to generate evidence to inform the delivery of non-NHS interventions intended to improve the health of the public and reduce inequalities in health.
The PHR programme is accepting stage 1 applications to their commissioned workstream for the following topic:
The research brief was prepared before the advent of the Covid-19 viral pandemic. It addresses an issue that is arguably now even more pertinent as a result of recent statistics highlighting the disproportionate effects of Covid-19 risk of infection and death in people from black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) communities.
