NIHR Policy Research Programme – Understanding Recent Increases in the Prevalence of Drug Misuse Among Young People

  Tuesday, 19 Jan 2021 | Funding Deadline

The Department of Health and Social Care invites proposals for research to help understand why recent prevalence data and other indicators suggest youth drug use is rising, in the context of evidence showing that the provision of services for young people and treatment uptake is declining. Understanding this is of substantial policy interest because it will help identify where targeted prevention or treatment interventions could be adapted to ensure that young people access the support they require.

Ideally, we are looking for a single project covering the research questions in their entirety, but we are open to receiving applications which focus on specific issues identified in the full research specification. We might wish to commission more than one study.

Deadline for proposals: 19th January 2021
