Wednesday, 25 Jan 2023 | Funding Deadline
The NIHR Global Health Research Portfolio uses UK aid to fund high quality applied health research and training in areas of unmet need. Our research is for the direct and primary benefit of people in low and middle income countries (LMICs).
Global Health Research Cohort Academic Development Award (GHR CADA) Round 2
The NIHR GHR CADA scheme enables NIHR GHR Programme Training Leads/Programme Directors to apply for up to £30,000 to deliver training and career development activities. The scheme aims to help GHR programme cohorts primarily focused in low and middle income countries to develop skills needed for a successful academic research career. This includes enhancing their exposure to multi-disciplinary working, building networks with leading experts and providing peer support. It also provides the opportunity to collaborate with other GHR programmes and foster cross-NIHR GHR working.
Global Health Research Short Placement Award for Research Collaboration (GHR SPARC) Round 3
The NIHR GHR SPARC scheme offers eligible individuals within the GHR Programmes to spend time in other GHR Programmes or different parts of the NIHR to network, learn a specific skill, and collaborate with other researchers/specialists. Individuals can apply for up to £10,000 to design and undertake a short bespoke placement to increase their research training experience, increase understanding of what different parts of the NIHR offer and enhance their career development and trajectory. It will also enable them to collaborate with colleagues in their research area or area of methodological interest as well as visiting other parts of the NIHR, including overseas partner institutions and industry partners with existing NIHR links.
Deadline for proposals: 25 January 2023
