The Medical Research Foundation is funding research grants for researchers seeking to progress in the field of adolescent skin disorders. Young people and adolescents are particularly affected by skin disorders, and the experience during adolescence can have long-term psychological and physical effects. Whilst adolescent skin disorders are prevalent, there are limited effective treatment options available. The Foundation funding will support research that increases understanding of the mechanisms underpinning skin disorders relevant to young people and adolescents, leading to the development of treatment approaches and reducing the long-term impact on health and well-being.
